Every child deserves access to a quality education.
Expanded educational opportunities give parents the ability to choose the school or program that best fits their child’s needs and help close the learning gap for students from low- and middle-income households. For children in each state to benefit, states must elect to participate. Governors or designated officers pursuant to state law must complete and submit IRS Form 15714 to the IRS in order for scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in the state to raise qualified contributions and provide K-12 scholarships for resident students. By “opting in”early, governors can enable SGOs and families to prepare for this new opportunity and access additional educational resources and services.
